LHA London spent a day working with Cardinal Hume Centre on 2nd March to help clean the garden, organise the toys and clear up the store cupboards of the stock generously left by donations to a wonderful cause. The team from LHA were taken around the hostel, offices and support centre offering them an insight into the great work achieved by the centre and some context to how LHA have supported the objectives of Cardinal Hume with the installation of new kitchen units and showers.
It was a great opportunity for the team to work together in a different way to their normal duties and departments and inspired some great teamwork and new shared experiences. LHA Chief Executive Tony Perkins said about the exercise:
“The day was phenomenal. Not only was the LHA team outgoing, and creative, their energy levels were contagious. Our group learned critical teambuilding skills, improved communication and out of the box thinking. It was an excellent experience that our people are still talking about today!”
“A huge thank you to my team for the effort and results and an equally huge thank you to Trish and her team for opening the door to Cardinal Hume Centre to give us an insight into their valuable work. LHA London is proud to support Cardinal Hume’s objectives.”
Everyone in the office is excited for the next team-day, which will take on a new challenge for a different charity or partner.
